### National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Mathematics Education Trust (MET) provides funding for professional development and recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of mathematics education through grants, scholarships, and awards.

Our goal is to fund and share successful strategies to educate and prepare students for bright and rewarding futures. We have learned that the best teaching methods come from our greatest assets: educators. That is why, over the last 10 years, we have awarded more than $7.
1 million to fund nearly 4,500 grants to public school educators to enhance teaching and learning. To build our knowledge base and to uncover new, great practices in public education we invite all National Education Association (NEA) members to apply for these grants. Leadership grant applicants must be NEA members.
### NJ Dept. of Education Grants The office provides assistance to LEA’s, other agencies and Department program offices through the establishment and maintenance of systems to plan for, acquire, award and manage grant funds in a fair and equitable manner to support initiatives that promote academic excellence, teacher and leader effectiveness, school innovation and choice, and accountability.
The office is responsible for three broad functions in support of an efficient, effective and accountable grants management system: 1. planning — working collaboratively with program offices to design sub-grant programs that are consistent with the Department’s goals and priorities; 2. sub-grant implementation — supporting the implementation of individual grant projects to promote educational success; and 3.
oversight and compliance — ensuring that the Department’s grants management system, including the management of sub-grant programs, will withstand the tests of audit and public scrutiny. ### Sustainable Jersey for Schools Supporting Big Ideas: Funding for School Sustainability Projects - Sustainable Jersey for Schools is a certification program for public schools in New Jersey.
It was launched by Sustainable Jersey, a nonprofit organization that provides tools, training and financial incentives to support and reward municipalities and schools as they pursue sustainability programs. Sustainable Jersey for Schools is underwritten by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Clean Energy Program, the Geraldine R.
Dodge Foundation and the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA).
Program partners include: NJSBA, NJEA, New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA), New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO), New Jersey Parent Teacher Association (NJPTA), New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (NJPSA), New Jersey School Buildings and Grounds Association (NJSBGA) and The Sustainability Institute at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).

* Student loans or grants: to help students attend college. * Formula grants: uses formulas determined by Congress and has no application process. ### Free Glasses for Students Optical Academy, a partner in the NJEA Member Discount Program, provides 10 free pairs of eyeglasses to students in need for every 50 pairs sold.
Optical Academy knows that educators often use their own money to ensure a student is able to see and Optical Academy wants to help change that. Any educator who would like to nominate a student in need can submit an inquiry at optical-academy. com/contact.
### Visions Loves Educators Grants Visions Federal Credit Union, a partner in the NJEA Member Discount Program, will award full funding, up to $500 for projects submitted by educators at elementary, middle, and high schools in the following counties: Bergen, Morris Passaic, Sussex and Warren. Visions commits $20,000 to the program, so multiple projects may win! To learn more or to submit your project, go to VisionsLovesEducators.
