The Housing Opportunity Grant Program will Reopen on Thursday, June 4th! A limited funding opportunity is available for state and local REALTOR® associations. Applications will be accepted through October 15, 2026, or until all remaining funds have been committed, whichever occurs first.

Apply for a Housing Opportunity grant to host an event or online activity that helps position your association as a leader in your community while engaging members by hosting an online or virtual event addressing housing challenges and opportunities.

As you may know, state and local associations receiving approval for a Housing Opportunity grant must use the award within one year or be forfeited back to NAR. If your association is participating in an activity supported by a grant that has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 that impacts your ability to meet the one-year deadline, please contact Christine Windle, Director, Community Outreach, 202/383-1135 for an extension.

Associations are encouraged to collaborate with local agencies and organizations that are working to expand access to housing that is affordable.

Activities may include a housing forum; a consumer-facing housing expo; or a housing study/analysis. Associations may receive one Level 2 grant per calendar year.
