Grants to Massachusetts Public Entities and Nonprofits to Combat Gang Violence (Discontinued)

Gang Prevention Grant Program (Massachusetts) is sponsored by Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. This program supports regional, multidisciplinary approaches to combat gang violence through coordinated programs for prevention and intervention, law enforcement, and reintegration strategies. It gives preference to applications demonstrating high levels of youth violence, gang problems, and substance use in a region, and a commitment to regional, multi-jurisdictional strategies. A 25% match from municipal or private contributions is required. Clusters of municipalities, in partnership with nonprofit organizations and other agencies, may apply.

Community Traffic Safety Grant Program is sponsored by Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Office of Grants and Research (OGR). This program provides federal funding to Massachusetts-based nonprofit organizations for programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle crashes, injuries, and deaths. It supports outreach and educational programs, including those focused on teen drivers.
