The Fund accomplishes these goals through three programs: (1) the Humanitarian Link raises funds to provide relief, medical services, and community development support; (2) the Palestine Center hosts educational and policy analysis lectures and conferences in the DC area and disseminates information online; and (3) the cultural arm features an active art gallery called Gallery Al-Quds, a film series, and musical and literary offerings.

The Jerusalem Fund extends grants to non-governmental organisations providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza, and Jerusalem, and to Palestinian refugees in Syria and Lebanon. It supports projects focusing on emergency relief, education, health, infrastructure and other community development efforts.

The Fund also supports projects that help Palestinians highlight their history and struggle to Western audiences. The Jerusalem Fund extends grants to non-governmental organizations working in the Fund’s three focus areas of education, community development, and culture. Assistance is to target Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza, and Jerusalem, and to Palestinian refugees in Syria and Lebanon.

Typical grant awards range from $1,000 to $5,000. There are four deadlines per year for application (January 15th, April 15th, July 15th, and October 15th). Applications are accepted on a year-round basis and are evaluated by the Board of Directors four times a year.

Applicants must complete the Fund’s two application forms (Institutional Profile Form and Project Application Form) and submit these in electronic format using the submission form on the Fund’s website. Applications should not be emailed. Applications may be written in English.
