It is our goal to ensure that no veteran goes hungry by providing essential food assistance and household support, fostering stability and well-being in the lives of our veterans and their families. Crucial financial assistance to Veterans transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. We help cover essential costs related to securing and creating comfortable housing for at-risk veterans.

Grants to Provide Stability The Disabled Veterans National Foundation's GPS (Grants to Provide Stability) Program is a grant program for veterans who find themselves in a temporary financial setback. Helps our veterans keep the lights on. Comfort Kits & Grab n' Go Providing necessities for homeless and disabled and at-risk veterans.

Comfort Kits are distributed primarily through Veteran Stand Downs and Grab N' Go Events nationally. Comfort Kits can include items such as blankets, toiletries, and clothing. An incredibly valuable online self-care program for well-being and mental health.

Mission Possible Program Page Operation Mission Possible Partnering with like-minded organizations to bring critically needed support to disabled and at-risk veterans who leave the military wounded—physically or psychologically—after defending our safety and our freedom. I have never been so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. I put in for the groceries on October 1st, October 3rd it was approved and sent out the same day.

It is so disheartening and demoralizing as a father to not be able to feed your family.

I can’t express the gratitude of having groceries sent to our family home in the efforts of easing our financial burden. Very easy process.

I have been struggling to make ends meet as a Disabled Veteran, and due to a heart problem I am currently off work, with many bills pilling up and being unable to take care of some, the GPS program allowed me to be able to focus on my recovery and my family while I’m out of work for a couple of months. I am extremely thankful for the help! I can’t even begin to express my gratitude!

I am 100% P&T and didn’t know where else to turn. When my husband was diagnosed with Stage 3 throat cancer, it financially crippled us for over a years. I had to make some difficult financial decisions, and only had 2 weeks to bring my utility account current before it was scheduled to be disconnected.

I tried so many resources, but was unable to get approved for help. DVNF was able to provide the assistance I needed before the deadline and I was able to avoid suffering through 100+ degree heat with no A/C. The GPS program and team at the DVNF provided the solution to a dire circumstance that was out of my control and as a result, prevented so many more certain issues from occurring.

I cannot thank them enough for the assistance they provided and professionalism that was showcased. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Aloha friends!

As a veteran with 100% disabilities I think that not only is it hard for someone like me to have actually been approved for an apartment finally and finally meaning like for the past 3 years of mostly being on the streets forever I go at least for 2 weeks out of the month, this program is finally give me the opportunity to have a furnished apartment. The VFAP Program gave me hope. I was down to no food in my cabinets or refrigerator.

I didn’t know how me or my kid were going to eat. I now have food to make it through the month and I’m so very grateful! I am grateful to the GPS program for providing me with a grant to help me restore my power after I was left homeless due to financial hardship and an unsupportive relationship.

This assistance has greatly lifted my spirits and eased my financial challenges.

I felt respected and supported throughout, which is deeply appreciated. It’s clear that the Disabled Veterans National Foundation cares about making this assistance easily available to those who need it. At a time when life was questionable, VFAP was there to reduce the burden that I faced financially.

They provided me and my family with an opportunity to rebound, without having our diets change in an unhealthy way. Although my children would never have to skip a meal, my Wife and I have certainly eaten less in the past, so that our children don’t have to. With a month’s worth of food for my family of 6, we are able to reset financially and take the steps to ensure we can sustain our diets.

The food assistance that I received was a blessing beyond my expectations. I have asked for help in the past and this was the first time that someone came through. I have gone to food banks but what you get is never enough for more than just a week.

This is awesome, I can stretch these out for a month. It will help tremendously with saving to get my rent caught up. Best program ever helping to feed us veterans, it’s kindly appreciated thank you all for your support.

I’ve been struggling making ends meet living on credit cards to eat and battling cancer. This has been a joyful day to see all the different groceries from meat, fruits, canned foods, toilet paper, etc. Took less than 30 minutes to complete the application with help of Asia at DVNF. The approval took only a few days.

I was so grateful. The VFAP Program has made an impact on my life. Your generous and unwavering support has been a light in my life, giving me the strength and courage to keep going even when things get tough.

I have been a volunteer since I was 10 years old and it’s very comforting to be able to get help now that I need it! When you’re 100% disabled, day to day living can be phenomenally stressful. When a program as generous as VFAP gives you support, one’s quality of life increases!

This program/grant put groceries in my kitchen, actual groceries I would eat. I felt heard which is huge for me because I haven’t felt that in a long time, to have vegan food show up to my front door meant so much to me. I was able to have full meals this weekend and I still have food to cook and enjoy which changes my life tremendously.

It’s so great to have actual whole foods in my fridge. I appreciate it so much. VFAP is amazing.

Being through many medical obstacles including cancer, it’s important to eat healthy, not just whatever, like cheap fast food. Thank you for making this one thing I don’t have to stress about! I think this program is such a blessing for so many people that are in need right now.

From application to groceries was less than a week. It was literally immediate relief for us. VFAP was such a Godsend for us.
