Leave a legacy to our community by establishing or investing in a fund. Welcome to Grays Harbor's Community Foundation Prior to 1994, no community foundation existed in Grays Harbor County. If a donor wanted to leave their estate for the general benefit of local communities, they would have to establish a separate private foundation or contribute to an organization with a narrower focus.
The founding of the Grays Harbor Community Foundation fulfilled the need for people to leave a gift of lasting benefit to our local community. No other public charity in Grays Harbor has the ability to serve all areas of need and is also designed specifically to manage permanent endowments. Benefiting our community since 1994.
The Grays Harbor Community Foundation enables any person interested in improving any part of Grays Harbor County to make a gift for almost any charitable purpose which benefits local residents. The donor may give to an existing fund or establish a named fund, either permanent or temporary. It's up to each donor to determine their fund's purpose and goals, either specific or general.
Year after year, the income from our donor's funds can be used to make grants to local charities who request assistance and to fund scholarships for local students. Our New Graduate Loan Program The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is pleased to establish a Graduate/Professional Degree Loan program.
This new program is intended to financially help Grays Harbor graduates who are planning to enter or are currently enrolled in Graduate/Professional School. Spotlight on the Harbor-ites who brought GHCF to life!
2026 Vocational Scholarship Applications Now Open Support for Individuals starting education/training in skilled trades & technical careers Quarterly Impact Grants Program To be truly responsive and meet the needs of our community, GHCF offers a Quarterly Impact Grants Program, helping organizations target more immediate, small scale needs of $5,000 and below. 2025 was another impactful year in Grays Harbor, with over $3. 8M invested!
