Business District Support Grants - City of Minneapolis Business district support grants Nonprofits can apply for grants to organize, promote and activate Great Streets business districts. Business District Support (BDS) grants fund activities that help build vibrant business districts.
This includes: Promotional work like ads and blogs Community events and activities that energize public spaces Networking events for district business owners We focus on areas of our city with racial, ethnic and economic disparities. We accept BDS grant applications from the following types of nonprofits.
Busin e ss and neighborhood associations Com m u nity develo p m ent corporations Arts and cultural organizations Other community-based nonprofits with the capacity to do the work We accept applications every year in the fall We award individual grants for up to $50,000. The number of nonprofits to receive awards varies by year, based on the applications we receive.
