Coastal Community Grant Program is sponsored by Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (Municipal Planning Assistance Program). This competitive grant program provides funds to counties, municipalities, unorganized territories, tribal governments, and Regional Planning Organizations in Maine's coastal zone for projects that build community resilience to adapt to a changing climate. Projects can include green infrastructure; preparing communities for coastal storms and storm surge, shoreline erosion, sea level rise, and flooding; and planning for reducing water quality impacts from land use activities. Clean Rivers Impervious Area Charge (CRIAC) Nonprofit Relief Program is sponsored by District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE). This program provides financial relief to eligible nonprofit organizations facing hardship with the payment of their Clean Rivers Impervious Area Charge (CRIAC). To qualify, organizations must also complete a stormwater mitigation project by installing green infrastructure on their property or elsewhere in the District. While not a direct program grant for arboretum operations, it could offer significant financial relief and support for stormwater management projects that enhance the arboretum's environmental impact.
