The Grid Resilience Formula Grant Program is a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy that funds state and tribal governments to strengthen and modernize America's electric power grid against wildfires, extreme weather, and other natural disasters exacerbated by the climate crisis. Authorized under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the program has awarded nearly $1.

3 billion nationwide as of October 2024 through formula-based allocations. Eligible recipients include state and tribal governments, including those in Nevada. Funded projects focus on grid hardening, resilience improvements, and protection against climate-related disruptions to ensure reliable electricity delivery to communities.
