Grief Reach: Childhood Bereavement Grants | New York Life Foundation <span class=\"text__dark-gray\">RESOURCES</span></h5>\n"}}" id="text-70a632fd90" class="cmp-text"> <span class=\"text__warm-black\">New York Life Foundation Grief Reach Grant Program</span></h1>\r\n"}}" id="text-635c1dbcf0" class="cmp-text"> New York Life Foundation Grief Reach Grant Program The New York Life Foundation in partnership with the National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC) is excited to announce the opening of the RFP cycle for Grief Reach, a competitive grant program that supports organizations serving bereaved youth.
This year, there are new additions to the Grief Reach RFP. Program highlights and changes for 2020 appear below. The New York Life Foundation, the largest corporate funder in the grant-making area of childhood grief support.
, is offering a competitive grant opportunity to support organizations offering bereavement services to youth. NAGC, as a partner in this space, will administer the grant program. There are two grant opportunities to consider: Spring Cycle: Community Expansion Grants : to expand services to bereaved children and youth.
Fall Cycle: Capacity Building Grants: to enhance organizational capacity, development and effectiveness. Spring Cycle: Community Expansion: Monday, February 10th – Monday, March 9th, 2020 at 5 p. m.
ET Fall Cycle: Capacity Building: Monday, June 15th – Friday, July 17th, 2020 at 5 p. m. ET RFP Q & A Webinar, Cycle 2 – TBA For the purpose of this grant program, bereaved children and youth are defined as children under the age of 25 who have had a loved one die .
Applicants for this grant program may serve youth outside of these limits but grant funds, if awarded, are specifically used to support bereaved youth under the age of 25 . Each cycle will focus on one of the two grant opportunities Expansion grants: the organization must still serve diverse populations, but the categories have grown to include: Geographic Expansion: expanding your services into a new geographic location.
Number Expansion: expanding to serve more children and families where you are currently located. Population Expansion: expanding to a new age or population group, such as pre-school, LGBTQ, etc...
Program/Service Expansion: starting new programming or services to the same children and families you are currently serving, such as a specific programming for suicide survivors; or if you are an already existing non-profit who will begin offering bereavement services to children. Opioid-Related deaths: Priority will be given to projects focused on services to children with Opioid-Related deaths.
