Hands of the Kingdom, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, established to help youth and young adults access education, organized sports, and community activities that foster personal growth and community. We operate entirely with volunteers, meaning every single dollar earned goes directly to families who need it most. 100% of our staff are volunteers.

From soccer and hockey to baseball and gymnastics, we help youth and adults participate in leagues, teams, and athletic programs that build discipline, teamwork, and confidence. We fund activities that bring people together, building relationships, strengthening neighborhoods, and creating a sense of belonging for youth and adults alike.
Tutoring, academic programs, camps, and workshops, we invest in learning opportunities that give youth the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond. Understanding the Grant Pool A grant pool is a centralized fund where all revenue generated by the organization's collective efforts is collected to support a shared mission. At HOK, this pool is filled by volunteers who staff concession stands at sports and entertainment venues.
Instead of volunteers receiving personal payment for their shifts, the compensation provided by the venues is deposited into this single community fund, then used to provide financial assistance to eligible youth and adults who apply for grants. We make it simple. If your family needs financial support to participate in a sport, community activity, or educational program, we want to help.
Any youth or adult in need of financial assistance to participate in an organized activity may apply. We assess need on a case-by-case basis. Complete our simple grant request form describing the activity, cost, and your situation.
Applications are reviewed by our volunteer board. Tell us about your situation and the activity you'd like funding for. Our volunteer board reviews every application with care.
