Archeparchy of Philadelphia: Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund Metropolitan’s Lifetime Service Award Religious Education Ministry Office of Social Outreach Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund Byzantine Church Supplies Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund The HWF was established in January 2024 by the Ukrainian Catholic Metropolia’s four Eparchies (Dioceses) in the United States: The Archeparchy of Philadelphia, the Eparchy of Stamford, the Eparchy of Saint Nicholas (Chicago), and the Eparchy of Saint Josaphat (Parma).

The HWF is a continuation of the humanitarian efforts of the Ukrainian Catholic Metropolia in the United States, which has contributed over $11. 3 million through three different funds established since Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. The HWF supports projects that address the physical, mental, and spiritual consequences of the war waged against Ukraine.

In 2024-2025 the Fund funded 154 projects for the amount of $3. 2 million providing medical equipment to 4 hospitals, supporting 4 major prosthetic centers, distributing over 2,000 food packages, delivering 5 ambulances, supporting 57 rehabilitation centers and programs serving over 10,000 victims of the war, helping IDPs through 6 Caritas branches, supporting 17 summer camps programs for children of IDPs and others.

The HWF allocated most funds to projects run by Church or non-profit organizations that work in partnership with the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church.
