Health Wellness Grant Program | Georgia Municipal Association Health Wellness Grant Program The GMEBS Life & Health Insurance Fund is pleased to offer a Health Wellness Grant Program to assist member organizations with conducting new (or improving existing workplace) health promotion and wellness initiatives. Members are also eligible to apply for grant funding.
More than $2,400,000 has been given back to the membership in grant funds since the program began in 2006. Program membership (and grant funding) is available to employers actively enrolled in one or more medical plans through the GMEBS Life and Health Insurance Fund. Applicants must complete a membership application and return it to Life & Health Services.
Please contact Candace Amos for more information on how to get started. Applicants applying for funding will be evaluated based on the organization’s ability to meet the prescribed criteria and demonstrate in-kind support, as well as financial need.
Grants will be awarded by employee population groups as follows: Members with more than 400 employees Members with 150 – 400 employees Members with less than 150 employees If approved, the application becomes the member’s agreement to meet all grant requirements and to carry out all planned health wellness programs and activities.
All grant recipients will receive 50% of funding in September and the remaining 50% of funding in February, after the Mid-Year Report has been reviewed.
