Fiscal Year 2027 Expanding Nutrition Services The purpose of Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Expanding Nutrition Services (ENS) funding is to increase access to nutrition services at HRSA-funded health centers.

Nutrition services can help to prevent, manage, and treat diseases and conditions through nutritional and food-based interventions. Health centers will use ENS funding to increase the number of nutrition services patients or visits. Estimated Funding: $125 million.

Expected Awards: 357 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-099 Fiscal Year 2027 Regional Nutrition Hubs (RNH) Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Regional Nutrition Hubs (RNH) will support region-specific technical assistance (TA) on expanding high-quality nutrition services to the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Health Center Program (H80) award recipients and look-alikes (health centers). Estimated Funding: $5 million.

Expected Awards: 5 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-019 Health Workforce Education and Training Centers of Excellence (COE) The Centers of Excellence Program provides grants to health professions schools and other public and nonprofit health or educational entities to assist schools in supporting programs of excellence in health professions education for under-represented minority individuals. Estimated Funding: $12. 1 million.

Expected Awards: 22 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-062 Medical Student Education Program The Medical Student Education (MSE) Program provides support to public medical schools in the top quartile of states with a projected primary care provider shortage to expand or support education for medical students preparing to become physicians. Estimated Funding: $13 million.

Expected Awards: 8 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-098 Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program The purpose of the THCGME Program is to provide maintenance funding to support the training of residents in existing HRSA-supported primary care residency training programs in community-based ambulatory patient care centers.

These programs will prepare residents to provide high-quality care, particularly in rural and medically vulnerable communities, and develop competencies to serve a wide range of populations and communities. Estimated Funding: $20. 96 million.

Expected Awards: 12 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-017 Maternal, Women’s, and Children’s Health Healthy Tomorrows Partnerships for Children Program (HTPCP) The purpose of the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP) is to support community-based projects that promote access to preventive clinical and public health services for children.

Estimated Funding: $375,000 Expected Awards: 5 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-033 Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nutrition Training Program Provide interdisciplinary graduate education to build a skilled workforce, provide technical assistance to state Title V and other MCH programs, expand nutrition education and career pathways, and improve access to high-quality nutrition services through trainee placements and practicums at health centers.

Estimated Funding: $10. 35 million Expected Awards: 16 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-036 Women’s Initiative for Screening and Health (WISH) The purpose of Women’s Initiative for Screening and Health (WISH) is to improve women’s health across the lifespan by increasing access to and availability of preventive health services. Estimated Funding: $1 million.

Expected Awards: 1 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-072 Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) – Community Systems Development Provides funding to communities in rural areas to develop and/or expand behavioral health systems of care through formalized networks that expand operational and clinical service capacity regionally through coordinated implementation of evidence-based SUD prevention, treatment, recovery, and related services.

Estimated Funding: $3 million. Expected Awards: 6 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-042 Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) Program The Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) program improves and expands rural health care access. It does this by developing new, accredited, sustainable rural residency programs, including rural track programs (RTPs).

Estimated Funding: $11. 25 million. Expected Awards: 15 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-046 Telehealth Nutrition Services Network Grant Program The Telehealth Nutrition Services Network Grant Program will support telehealth networks that improve access to quality health care services through telehealth technology.

This program will use telehealth nutrition services to help prevent and manage chronic diseases. Estimated Funding: $4. 5 million.

Expected Awards: 15 | Opportunity Number: HRSA-27-044 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and its Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) provide funding to support various health workforce activities, including training and education, partnerships with community-based organizations, and loan repayment for healthcare workers.
