Apply for a Grant — Mid-Iowa Health Foundation MIHF Small Business Owners Fellowship Step 1: Ensure your idea aligns with our guiding principles: Economic health and well-being is the predominant social driver of health. Those closest to an issue are integral to inform any potential solution to address a community health need.
Community health improvements are best supported by bold and lasting change rooted in the best available evidence, analysis, and science. Systemic change is needed to address root causes of community health issues. Step 2: Complete an inquiry form.

Mid-Iowa Health Foundation wants to hear ideas for improving health and supporting thriving communities that relate to our grantmaking priorities. Before starting an application, please familiarize yourself with our strategic approach and contact our staff to discuss your idea.
Staff will provide guidance to help you decide if your idea is a good match for the HealthConnect Innovation Grant and if completing an application is recommended. What are your application deadlines? Applications are reviewed quarterly.

NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Academic Career Excellence (ACE) Award (K32) is a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that funds early postdoctoral fellows from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, to pursue research training in cancer-related fields. The K32 award supports fellows within 12 months prior to transitioning into, or within the first two years of, a postdoctoral position. The program, operated through NCI's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), aims to enhance the pool of qualified diverse cancer researchers. Beginning with the June 12, 2025 due date, the CURE ACE Award is available in both Independent Clinical Trial Required and Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed versions.
