HealthPath Foundation of Ohio Awards $960,000 in Multiyear Grants to Advance Health Initiatives The HealthPath Foundation of Ohio has announced the recipients of its latest funding cycle, granting a total of $960,000 to eight nonprofit organizations across the state. These grants support programs addressing the foundation’s three focus areas: Oral Health, Healthy Ohioans, and Age-Friendly Communities.
“Through these investments, HealthPath Foundation of Ohio continues its commitment to advancing health equity and improving quality of life for Ohioans” said Kiana R. Trabue, President of HealthPath. “We look forward to partnering with these organization as they create impact alongside the communities they serve.
” The Awarded Grantees Are: $100,000 to HER Cincinnati to support its Aging in Place at the Anna Louise Inn program which seeks to expand supportive services at the Anna Louise Inn, a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community, by enhancing staff training, increasing access to health services (e.g., dental care, preventative care), expanding wellness programming, and upgrading apartment units to meet the needs of residents aging in place.
Counties Served: Hamilton $60,000 to Area Agency on Aging 3 to support its Elder Victim Outreach: Prevention, Support, and Recovery initiative which addresses abuse, neglect, and exploitation among elderly individuals by providing direct services, community education, and access to resources.
Counties Served: Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, Van Wert $150,000 to Clark County Combined Health District to support an Oral Health Outreach and Capacity Building Among Haitian Immigrants in Clark County program focused on improving oral healthcare access for the County’s growing Haitian immigrant community through outreach and capacity building.
Counties Served: Clark $150,000 to Ohio Association of Community Health Centers to support its Ohio Oral Health in Pregnancy and Prenatal Care Integration program. This program will integrate oral health into prenatal care by training OB/GYNs and dentists to incorporate oral health competencies, improving outcomes for pregnant women.
Counties Served: Statewide $75,000 to Deaf Services Center to support the organization’s Health and Safety Project. The project enhances training for healthcare providers to improve access and equity for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind individuals, focusing on communication, patient care, and advocacy.
Counties Served: Statewide $175,000 to The Center for Closing the Health Gap for Black Women Heart Cincy, a partnership with the Council on Black Health which aims to reduce hypertension among black women in Greater Cincinnati through a culturally tailored intervention. Counties Served: Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Warren $150,000 to Mercy Health Youngstown LLC for the Mercy Health St.
Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital Dental Program to support mobile dental units serving underserved populations and expand training programs to prepare dentists for treating complex cases in vulnerable communities. Counties Served: Carroll, Columbiana, Mahoning, Trumbull $100,000 to Brick Gardens for its Roots in the Ground Jobs and Food Program.
This initiative addresses food insecurity in Greater Cincinnati by scaling a community food production and workforce development program in partnership with Groundwork Ohio River Valley. Counties Served: Brown, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton
