Learn More About Healthy Behaviors and Spaces Grants Online Grants & Reporting Portal For Current & Past Grant Partners New Users of Current & Past Grant Partners Contact the Foundation to Set-up an Account Capacity Building RFP for Service Providers & Partners Obici Healthcare Foundation is seeking professional service providers, technical assistance providers, implementation partners, and nonprofit-serving organizations to help strengthen nonprofits across Western Tidewater, Virginia, and Gates County, North Carolina.
Through this Request for Proposals, the Foundation is looking for partners who can design, deliver, and support high-quality capacity-building opportunities that strengthen nonprofit leadership, organizational infrastructure, collaboration, and long-term sustainability.
We welcome proposals for both broad capacity-building partnerships and focused services, including: Nonprofit advising, coaching, and technical assistance Leadership, governance, and organizational development Financial sustainability and grant readiness Nonprofit learning, training, and professional development Civic engagement, advocacy, technology, innovation, and related supports Applicants do not need to provide every service listed.

Important Dates and How to Apply The 2026 Capacity Building RFP is a competitive opportunity for partners interested in supporting nonprofit capacity-building efforts across Western Tidewater, Virginia, and Gates County, North Carolina.
All proposals must be submitted through the Foundation’s online grant portal by Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:00 p. m. ET .
Late, incomplete, or emailed proposals will not be considered. Proposal Deadline: Wednesday, July 15, 2026, by 2:00 p. m.
ET Notification of Selection: Friday, August 28, 2026 Year 1 Start Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026 Anticipated Partnership Period: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2028 Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to schedule a pre-submission consultation with Foundation staff to discuss alignment, feasibility, and potential fit before applying.
