The Healthy Community Fund will provide mini, small, and medium grants to support health and wellness needs in the community and capacity building needs to strengthen La Porte County nonprofits.
The 2026 Large Grants Program will provide multi-year grant awards to organizations doing impactful work in the areas of Attainable Housing (AH), Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL), and Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU ) in La Porte County. 2026 Healthy Community Fund Mini, Small, and Medium grants Please note: All LOI’s and grant applications must be submitted through HFL’s online grant portal .

HFL accepts grant requests for our When Seconds Count: AED Initiative once per year. Grant requests are accepted beginning February 14 of each year. To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or a governmental entity.
Requests for AED grants are only accepted through HFL’s grant portal. The FAQ/Tutorial below provides information on how to access the grant portal. We advise interested organizations to submit their application as soon as possible, as the number of AEDs is limited.
