A Texas Family’s Story Noah was diagnosed with autism shortly before his third birthday. During a critical stage of development, early intervention services gave him and his family access to intensive support focused on communication, social skills, and emotional growth. Today, at four years old, Noah is thriving in a preschool classroom alongside his peers.
As he prepares for kindergarten, continued therapy and resources remain essential. Thanks to Variety of Texas, his family can access services not typically covered by insurance — ensuring he enters this next stage of childhood with confidence and support. Early intervention gave Noah space to grow in ways that honor who he is.
By investing in early support, Variety helps change the trajectory for children with disabilities across Texas — strengthening families and expanding opportunity when it matters most. Support Children Like Noah Variety of Texas delivers disability support programs and financial assistance for children and young adults across the state.
From adaptive equipment grants to inclusive community initiatives, our programs remove barriers and strengthen opportunities statewide. Our flagship financial assistance program provides grants for young people with disabilities to purchase equipment, services, and experiences like summer camps that enhance autonomy, belonging, and joyful participation in all areas of life.
By helping families cover costs not typically funded by insurance, Heart of Variety ensures children have access to mobility devices, communication technology, and essential therapeutic services that support connection and participation. Mobile Accessible Restrooms Variety’s mobile accessible restroom initiative expands accessibility at public events and community gatherings across Texas.
These restroom solutions go beyond ADA-accessibility to ensure that children and young adults with disabilities can attend festivals, sporting events, and civic activities without unnecessary barriers. Variety Adaptive Bike Camp In partnership with iCan Shine, Variety brings adaptive bike camp programming to families in Texas.
The 2026 camp in Wiley, Texas, will serve children from across the Dallas–Fort Worth region, helping riders with disabilities gain confidence and independence through specialized bike instruction. Activate Inclusion Program Activate Inclusion is a statewide initiative focused on expanding disability inclusion in Texas communities.
Through in-person and virtual events in places like Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio this program fosters connection, visibility, and belonging for families across Texas.
