Heritage Fund is sponsored by Arizona State Parks & Trails. The Heritage Fund provides grant opportunities for historic preservation projects through legislatively appropriated funds. This could include projects related to the Justice Sandra Day O'Connor House, given its historical significance in Arizona.

Heritage Fund Grants in Arizona | Arizona State Parks The Heritage Fund was established in 1990 by Arizona's voters to create a dedicated source of funding for the preservation of the state's natural and cultural legacy. The fund receives a portion of proceeds from the Arizona Lottery, ensuring a consistent investment in our history and environment without relying on state taxes.

This program is divided between two state agencies, with Arizona State Parks administering grants for historic preservation, non-motorized trails, and the acquisition or development of local and regional parks. The Heritage Fund empowers communities to protect important landmarks, enhance outdoor recreation, and ensure that Arizona's unique heritage is preserved for future generations.

Available Funds: $1,000,000 Eligible Applicants: Incorporated municipalities, counties, state agencies, tribal governments, and non-profit organizations. Eligible Projects: Local/regional park acquisition or development, historic preservation, and non-motorized trail projects. Heritage and OHV Fund Applications are scheduled to open on July 8!
