Heritage Opportunities in Hawaiʻi (HŌʻIHI) Grant Program is sponsored by U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of Native Hawaiian Relations (ONHR). The HŌʻIHI Grant Program aims to implement the Native American Tourism and Improving Visitor Experience (NATIVE) Act by strengthening Native Hawaiian organizations' capacity to steward and share traditional knowledge.
This includes enhancing entrepreneurial capacity, developing business opportunities in the visitor industry, providing business development training, stimulating economic activity, and perpetuating traditional Hawaiian practices. The program seeks to transform tourism into a regenerative and collaborative industry that creates jobs, elevates living standards, and expands economic opportunity within the Native Hawaiian Community.
