Highlands Foundation | Eastern Kentucky Charitable Foundation Highlands Foundation Golf Classic All proceeds from this years Golf Classic will be used for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Currently more than 3000 children in our service area under the age of five receive a book every month.

When CHS was sold to Appalachian Healthcare System in 2019. Highlands Foundation became a stand-alone company.
Our participation and gift giving comes from the earnings from the foundation endowment and the generous donations from individuals and companies across the region.
Since its inception in 2006 Highlands Foundation has distributed more than $5,000,000 in our Eastern Kentucky service area through grants and donations to schools, healthcare facilities, food pantries, endowed scholarships, homeless shelters, animal shelters, and other non-profit organizations that fulfill the mission of the foundation. We work to better the lives of our community by supporting the goals of other Charitable and Healthcare Organizations in the Eastern Kentucky service area. Your generosity in the past has helped us achieve this vision. We have more work to do, so any amount you would like to donate will be appreciated and put to good use.

Your contribution will help those less fortunate this Holiday Season As the holiday season approaches, our thoughts turn to gratitude and the importance of giving back to our communities. The Highlands Foundation is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to alleviating hunger in eastern Kentucky. Our mission is to support 17 food banks in our region, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry.
One in eight people in Kentucky is unsure where their next meal will come from. This alarming reality reflects the dire need for support, especially in the eastern part of our state. Hunger is an issue that transcends age, gender, and ethnicity, and it is affecting our friends, neighbors, and even children who should be focusing on their education and dreams rather than the growling of their empty stomachs.
Here are some examples of how your contribution can help: A donation of $75 can provide a week’s worth of groceries for a family in need. A contribution of $300 can supply a local food bank with essential non-perishable items for families in our communities. Your kindness can help us create a brighter and more hopeful holiday season for families across eastern Kentucky.

CFNF Helping Today, Shaping Tomorrow Grant is a grant from the Community Foundation of North Florida that funds nonprofits addressing pressing challenges with programs and services of lasting impact in Florida's Big Bend region. Each year, CFNF awards ten grants of $5,000 each to eligible organizations. A separate Arts Nonprofit Grant Cycle awards five grants of $6,000 each for arts organizations in the same region.
