Historic Preservation Heritage Fund Grant Program

Historic Preservation Heritage Fund Grant Program is sponsored by Arizona State Parks Board. This program provides funding to the State of Arizona and other eligible applicants for the purpose of preserving historic and prehistoric resources. Grants can be used for preservation planning and rehabilitation projects.

Arizona Historic Preservation Heritage Fund Grants | Arizona State Parks Historic Preservation Heritage Fund Grants Historic Preservation Grants are part of the Arizona Heritage Fund. In FY26, the Legislature allocated $1,000,000, 30% of which goes to Historic Preservation.

Application submissions for the current cycle closed on February 1, 2026 Eligible Projects can include: • Brick and mortar rehabilitation • Historic surveys or studies • Archaeological interpretation and stabilization • Education and preservation program development Non-profits, governmental entities: cities, towns, counties, tribal governments, and state agencies Applicants can apply for $10,000 - $60,000 and are required to provide 40% match.
