How to Apply — Hoblitzelle Foundation The foundation has three meetings per year to consider grant proposals: are considered by the end of: January (Closed for 2027) Does your organization have a capital need? - The Foundation supports capital projects (building construction, renovation, equipment, vehicles, and technology). Grants are not made for operations, programs, debt retirement, endowments, research, or scholarships.
Does your organization meet the requirements and minimum financial thresholds? - Nonprofit with tax-exempt status - Dallas-area organizations are prioritized; however, others in the North Texas area may be considered. Occasional grants made outside of this geographic preference are typically due to a historical interest exhibited by the founder or the large scope of impact the grant would have on that particular region of Texas.
Grants are not made outside of Texas. - Annual budget greater than $250,000 - External financial audit within the last two years - Grants are typically not made to an organization more than once every three to four years. - There is a one-year waiting period between grant submissions.

The online grants management system includes all grants made since the beginning of the foundation in 1942.

If additional information is needed to support the grant request or if a site visit is to be scheduled, the organization will be contacted by Foundation staff. Grant decisions are e-mailed by the end of May, September, and January, approximately six weeks after the grant request deadline. You can access the grants management system anytime to check the status and submit a grant agreement.
