Typical measures may include heating system tune-ups and repairs, blower door guided air-sealing, attic and sidewall insulation, and health & safety inspections. Contact: DEEP. Weatherization@ct.

gov Weatherization Barriers Remediation Program For many Connecticut households, programs such as the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and Home Energy Solutions – Income Eligible (HES-IE) are key to maintaining comfortable living conditions while keeping energy bills low. However, too many households across the state are prevented from weatherizing their homes due to health and safety hazards such as mold and asbestos.

With an estimated launch date in 2022, this Weatherization Barriers Remediation Program will play an important role in connecting low-income families with services that improve the safety and comfort of their homes while stabilizing energy bills. Contact: Claire. Sickinger@ct.

gov Non-Profit Heating Assistance Services Operation Fuel and other nonprofits provide year-round emergency utility and energy assistance to low-to-moderate-income households that don’t qualify for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program. Contact: info@operationfuel. org | (860) 243-2345 Connecticut Energy Assistance Program Administered by the Connecticut Department of Social Services, the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), provides winter heating cost assistance to more than 75,000 income-eligible households every year, regardless of their heat source.

People should contact their local Community Action Agency to apply. Both homeowners and renters can be eligible. CEAP helps enrollees afford the cost of natural gas and electric heat, as well as deliverable fuels like oil and propane.

Contact: Call 2-1-1 for contact information on the intake site closest to where you reside Equitable Energy Efficiency (E3) Proceeding Energy efficiency is one of the most cost-effective energy resources and has the potential to reduce energy burdens, cut carbon emissions, and promote community resilience The Equitable Energy Efficiency Proceeding (E3) is a collaborative initiative with the utilities, Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board, and other stakeholders to develop strategies for ensuring that the benefits of energy efficiency are shared equitably among residents and businesses.

gov | Join the E3 Mailing List Electric Vehicles Rebate Program (CHEAPR) Through CHEAPR, customers who participate in certain income qualified programs , may be eligible to receive an additional rebate when purchasing or leasing new eligible vehicle or a used eligible vehicle . Contact: cheapr@energycenter. org | 855-704-6350 PURA Electric Vehicle Charging Program In July 2021, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) issued a final decision as part of its Equitable Modern Grid initiative that establishes a nine-year Electric Vehicle Charging Program to support the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the state, focusing on equity and inclusion.

EnergyBureau@ct. gov (for DEEP) Residential Renewable Energy Solutions Program (RRES) The RRES program offers residential customers living in a 1-4 family unity the opportunity to install renewable energy on their home and sell the energy and renewable energy certificates (RECs) for 20 years. The program offers a variety of payment structures that involve your local electric utility paying you or offering on-bill credits.
