Who is eligible for Home Forward Grants?
Eligible applicants must be qualifying homeowners in an ABC Trust service county with household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. The Home Forward Grant provides up to $6,500 for weatherization improvements. A member of the household must own the residence.
Applicant must have a valid Social Security card and identification, such as a driver’s license. Applicant must provide documentation showing combined gross household income of 200% of the federal poverty guideline or less. Household must be in a county served by the ABC Trust.
The ABC Trust touches Alabamians across 60 counties in central and south Alabama. Colbert, DeKalb, Jackson, Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison and Morgan counties are outside the Trust’s coverage area. Applications are reviewed quarterly by a selection committee. To apply, contact a weatherization coordinator at the Community Action Agency that serves your county. If you are a community action agency partner: access the application link or finish an application.
