The City of Decatur provides several grant opportunities to assist the community with removing hazardous and unhealthy living conditions to help preserve the existing housing stock. The City of Decatur has launched a program that offers grants to eligible commercial businesses and property owners who complete qualified façade rehabilitation projects.

An eligible "façade" is the front face or elevation of the building, which typically faces the street and contains windows and the principal entrance to the building.
