HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) is a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development and HUD that funds municipalities and local governments to expand and preserve affordable housing for low- and very low-income Pennsylvanians. Eligible activities include new construction and rehabilitation of rental or owner-occupied housing, first-time homebuyer assistance, and support for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). Funding caps are ,000 for towns, boroughs, and townships and ,000 for cities and counties. Rental housing projects require a 25% local match from non-federal sources.
