HOME - Investment Partnership Program - Community Development The HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program https://www. hudexchange. info/programs/home/ is a federally funded housing initiative administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and locally by the City’s Community Development Department.
The program is designed to expand the supply of safe, decent, and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households. HOME funds are used to support a wide range of eligible housing activities, including the construction of new affordable housing, rehabilitation of existing owner-occupied and rental units, down payment and closing cost assistance for first-time homebuyers, and tenant-based rental assistance.
The program prioritizes projects and activities that address local housing needs and advance long-term housing stability. Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, developers, housing providers, and community stakeholders, the HOME Program leverages federal, state, local, and private resources to increase affordable housing opportunities and strengthen neighborhoods.
All HOME-assisted activities must meet federal affordability, income eligibility, and long-term compliance requirements. The City remains committed to ensuring fair housing, promoting housing choice, and investing in sustainable housing solutions that support economic mobility and community development.
