Economic & Community Development Home Repair and Home Accessibility Programs Home Repair and Home Accessibility Programs The Home Repair and Home Accessibility Programs provide financial assistance for critical home repairs to homeowners with incomes at or below 50% of the Area Median Income by providing up to $30,000 for minor home repairs and accessibility improvements.

The Home Repair Program is a loan, while the Home Accessibility Program is a grant. The program is open to senior citizens (those aged 65+), disabled individuals (those having a physical condition that limits movements, senses or activities) and veterans. These programs apply to owner-occupied homes, townhomes and condominiums located in the incorporated areas of Palmdale.

Program funds up to $30,000 may be used for repairs and accessibility modifications.

Priority will be given to emergency-related items. Priority will be given to repairs of conditions that immediately affect the health and/or safety of the household.

These items include, but are not limited to: Repair or replacement of broken plumbing Repair or replacement of leaking roof Inoperative heating and/or cooling unit Installation of access ramps Kitchen and bath fixtures and faucets Shower head combo with slide bar Other health and safety repairs determined eligible by the rehabilitation staff The City of Palmdale has retained the services of RSG, Inc., to manage eligibility, applications, contracts and construction.

To be notified when additional applications become available, please fill out the Home Repair and Home Accessibility Program Interest Form. The success of this program relies on contractors who can provide competitively priced, high-quality construction services in a timely manner. To be placed on the contractor interest list, please register by filling out the Housing and Accessibility Program Contractor Interest Form .
