Home Repair Assistance Programs | Kent County, MI Kent County offers Home Repair Assistance Programs to help homeowners maintain safe and livable housing. These program are supported with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program funds. Program focus is on health, safety, and code compliance for income-eligible homeowners in Kent County.
Own and live in your home (primary residence) Home is in Kent County, outside the City of Grand Rapids Household income at or below program limits below Repairs address health, safety, accessibility, code violations, or essential systems Income Eligibility (Updated Annually on May 1) To qualify, your household income must be at or below the following limits: Kent County partners with Home Repair Services of Kent County to assist with small but essential repairs, such as: Financing Overview: Program assistance is provided in the form of grants and may require a co-payment.
Moderate Repairs (Over $10,000) This program covers more extensive repairs or multiple repairs at once, including: Septic system replacement Electrical system upgrades Apply for Moderate Repairs Government Websites by CivicPlus®
