Home Repair Program is sponsored by City of Chicago. Offers grants to eligible homeowners for essential home repairs, such as roof replacements, to maintain safe and healthy living environments.

All applicants who registered in 2024 and 2025 will remain on the waitlist and no further action is needed - we will reach out in early 2026. Please visit our Homeowner Resource guide for a list of other organizations who might be able to provide assistance. Formerly known as the Roof and Porch Repair Program, the Home Repair Program (HRP) provides roof or porch improvements for income-eligible homeowners.

A site inspection will determine the scope of work required. The Home Repair Program will also provide small repairs (i.e. grab bars, lever faucets, etc.) for homeowners who need accessibility improvements. Homeowners will be prioritized based on length of tenancy.

Households earning up to 50 percent of area median income(AMI) may be eligible to participate in the program. See chart for income qualifications.
