The Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) assists Alaskans who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness by providing funding for emergency services, including emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, and eviction prevention. HAP funds support projects that address specific community needs and help families obtain or retain safe and stable housing.
The program serves all populations, including youth under 18 and youth aged 18-24. Subject to funding availability, applications typically open at the start of the State Fiscal Year (July).
