Focused on Pharmacist-Led, Clinical Practice-Based Projects HOPA research grants provide financial support for research projects that facilitate the efforts of hematology/oncology pharmacists optimizing the care of individuals affected by cancer. HOPA’s goal is to make research grant opportunities accessible to members at all career levels.
Two HOPA Supported Research Grants The HOPA Research Fund Award (RFA) supports pharmacist-led research in the areas of clinical or patient outcomes, patient safety, and standards validation/benchmarking. The call for proposals is OPEN! Early Career Research Grant The Early Career Research Grant (ECRG) provides funding to promising investigators early in their careers to encourage and promote pharmacist-led oncology research.
The call for proposals is currently closed. Through its ongoing support of cancer-related research, HOPA has sharpened its funding focus on pre-clinical and clinical practice-based projects. These are areas where oncology pharmacists can make a meaningful impact - and where research funding may not be available from other sources.
The application process has been refined and streamlined for both the HOPA Research Fund Award and the Early Career Research Grant, and updated policies provide a clearer definition of requirements and expectations. Projects should align closely with HOPA’s strategic imperative to support pharmacist-led research that optimizes patient care and advances the profession.
