HOTV Runners Grant Program - Heart of the Valley Runners Fall Festival Runs 5K & 10K Fall Festival Runs 5K & 10K Fall grant applications will be accepted until November 7, 2026 The Heart of the Valley (HOTV) Runners Grant Program is one of the ways HOTV supports and encourages running as a way to improve the health and well-being of our community.
These small grants enable schools and other non-profit organizations to build their running programs and purchase much needed equipment and other items.
The grants will be offered twice a year around the start of track & field and cross country seasons Non-profit community organizations, including elementary and secondary schools, in Corvallis and surrounding areas in the valley that promote running/walking as healthy activities are eligible to apply.
The grant may fund program materials including uniforms and equipment purchases, as well as marketing materials to inform the community about the program. Applicants are encouraged to contact the HOTV Board early in the application process if unsure whether an item is eligible for funding. The grant will be offered twice a year and will coincide with the start of track and cross country seasons.
The total amount available for each grant cycle will be determined by the Board (up to $2,500 per cycle). There will be no upper limit on an individual request, as long as it does not exceed the total amount available. However, the Board’s preference is to give out several smaller awards rather than a single large award.
The Board reserves the right to withhold the awards in any given grant period if the funds are not available or none of the submitted applications qualify in the opinion of the Board. Examples of past requests HOTV has funded 8-lane timer used by Linus Pauling Middle School, HOTV Community Track Meet, and Boys and Girls Club Track and Field and co-contributor to the timing shed.
Bark chips, ribbons, and a lap counter system for Adams in Motion and Bessie Coleman elementary school running programs.
Canopies for Corvallis High School and Philomath Middle School cross-country programs Cross Country course improvements in King Valley for the Kings Valley Charter School and the Philomath Schools XC programs High jump standards for Corvallis High School Ribbons and bracelets for Corvallis Elementary School All-comers meet Uniform purchases for Corvallis High XC and Crescent Valley XC Funding re-branded swag for the Bessie Coleman Elementary running program.
Part of the city-wide support for a high-tech scoreboard at the CHS community field. Invigorating the Ashbrook XC/TF teams and their school running program Buying swag for the Adams In Motion run program... now in it's 16th year.
Helping Crescent Valley HS with bark chips to resurface their XC practice course Providing Porta-Potties for a Crescent Valley XC race at Crystal Lake featuring 20+ teams Supplying the Boys and Girls Club with materials for their spring track program FALL 2026 grant funding is now OPEN The HOTV board is now accepting proposals for Fall 2026 funding (closing on November 7 ), with the next round of grants opening in the Spring for track season.
