The grants are intended to deploy funding quickly for housing projects that will begin construction or complete in 2026-2027. Now, there are hardly any Alaskans who have not directly experienced or know someone who is experiencing the adverse impacts of the housing shortage. Housing Alaskans Public Private Partnership was formed to help communities and developers produce more homes faster. In just a few years and with limited resources, Housing Alaskans has accelerated the completion of 145 new units in 9 communities.

Wells Fargo grants $200,000 to Housing Alaskans Housing Alaskans: A Public-Private Partnership announced a $200,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to accelerate housing developments in rural Alaska hub communities where the workforce and families struggle to find housing. The generous investment will help alleviate Alaska’s critical housing shortage.
