Though they are subject to change for 2026, interested applicants are encouraged to review 2025 application information below for eligibility information and submission requirements. On May 20, 2025, the Board of Commissioners approved the categories and funding availability for the 2025 Housing Millage application round . Due to previously awarded funds, there is a total of $2,800,000 available to be allocated this year.
The approved categories and fund availability are as follows: Housing Millage Cards with Animated Dividers This category is for the development of affordable rental housing. Funds wrap-around housing services such as eviction prevention and shelter diversion. This category supports unique and innovative housing-related opportunities.
Applications are now closed A mandatory Amplifund Training Session was held on June 24, 2025. The recording can be accessed via YouTube . Applicants must be located in and/or provide services within Kalamazoo County and propose work that benefits County residents.
Eligible applicants include: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations Educational institutions (public schools, colleges, universities) Organizations with a Fiscal Sponsor For-profit housing developers Not eligible for funding: Religious or political groups Projects that fall into this category could include: New senior affordable housing, new affordable rental housing, permanent supportive housing, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, townhouses, and prefab housing, this category should be for rental units only.
The requirement is that all of the units that will be funded with Millage dollars are affordable to persons at or below 120% AMI, and all awardees must agree to income-qualify tenants.
