on December 3, 2025 , and will be accepted until sufficient applications have been received to expend available funding. Applications will be reviewed based on program guidelines, and eligible projects may begin thereafter. To be eligible for Home Rehabilitation/Replacement services, applicants are required to attend at least one Housing Rehabilitation workshop in the weeks leading up to the opening of the application cycle.

Apply for Housing Rehabilitation Participation in Leon County's low-income Home Rehabilitation/Replacement program requires eligible applicants to attend one recent Housing Rehabilitation Workshop in the weeks prior to submitting an application for the current program year.

The workshops are designed to provide attendees with home rehabilitation program information, home maintenance tips and disaster preparedness for steps for mobile homeowners. The 2025 Home Rehabilitation workshops have already taken place. Interested applicants that have not attended a workshop may potentially still qualify for the Emergency Home Repair Program.

Click Here to Receive Notifications of Workshops Register for Housing Rehabilitation Workshop --> The Home Rehabilitation/Emergency Home Repair Program awards funds to eligible homeowners living in the unincorporated areas of Leon County in need of rehabilitation to their home related to a dire situation that needs to be mitigated immediately via a short-term and/or permanent repair most typically funded by a deferred payment, forgivable, noninterest-bearing loan although grants for minimal, temporary repairs may be provided.

Emergency home repairs include a damaged or leaking roof, damaged windows causing exposure to the elements, electrical, plumbing, or septic problems that could cause damage to the home, or to remediate an immediate health hazard to the occupants. If you live inside City limits (Tax Code 1), please contact the City of Tallahassee for emergency repairs on non-mobile home dwellings.

The Home Replacement Program assists eligible homeowners living in the unincorporated areas of Leon County with the demolition of an existing home and reconstruction of a new home if the cost of rehabilitation is expected to surpass 50% of the value of the home (30% for homes 50 years or older). Funds will be made available to individual homeowner applicants via deferred payment, forgivable, noninterest-bearing loans.
