Recent Outcomes - Financial Stability | United Way of Greater St. Joseph Recent Outcomes - Financial Stability Last year, because you gave... United Way Housing Stability continued its mission to help households maintain stability and prevent or resolve homelessness.
Since 2018, the Housing Stability program has provided one-time financial assistance to qualifying households to help them remain safely housed or regain stability. Housing Stability filled critical gaps where other assistance was unavailable, complementing existing community resources. Assistance focused on helping households move toward long-term stability without the need for ongoing support.
In 2024, 165 client cases were approved for Housing Stability assistance. More than $123,000 in financial support was provided to households in need. The majority of assistance requests supported rent payments, security deposits, or transportation to relocate and live with family or friends.
These funds helped households avoid homelessness and take important steps toward a more stable future.
