Housing Stabilization Program (Louisville Metro Government) is sponsored by Louisville Metro Government, Neighborhood Place. Designed to provide income-eligible households in Louisville with both long- and short-term rental assistance and case management, focusing on self-sufficiency through employment, education, housing, wellness, and/or income management goals.

**The Housing Stabilization Program is designed to provide income eligible households with both long- and short-term rental assistance and case management. ****Yo****u will receive a confirmation number when your appointment is scheduled. Keep this for your records.

You will need it to check the status of your application at a later date. ** **To qualify for assistance, applicants must:** - Be an income-eligible renter legally residing in Jefferson County; and - Have a legally binding lease that covers the assistance period.

**Additional criteria include:** - Household income must not exceed 200% of the federal poverty guidelines; - Household must include at least one member who has a documented work history of at least 250 hours within the 6 months prior to the date of intake; -Willingness to participate in case management services.

## Eligibility for all programs is subject to program calendars, fund availability, appointment availability, verifiable household income and family size. Please note that it typically takes 3-5 weeks for assistance payments to be received by landlords. ## If your household has received rental assistance within the past 12 months, you may be ineligible for the Housing Stabilization program.

If your household has received case management through the Housing Stabilization program within the past 24 months, you are currently ineligible for this program. *CASE MANAGEMENT MAY BE UNAVAILABLE AT SOME LOCATIONS!

* ## Required Documentation* in cludes: * Picture ID for all household members 18 years and older; * Proof of social security for all household members, or ITIN numbers, or proof of age for children under 2 years old OR self-declared undocumented persons; * Proof of all household income; * Copy of the most recent lease or rental agreement; * Past-due rent notice if applicable or landlord verification is immediately due; * W-9 for landlords not already in our rent assistance system.

**Be sure to submit accurate verification for ALL income in the Household. Income and Household size should be the same for each program. Discrepancies of income or Household size could result in being denied services.
