The funding for all of the below grants, regardless of program, comes from the Historic Preservation Fund . More information about all of our currently funded project grant programs may be found below. Competitive grant programs provide financial assistance to support historic preservation projects to States, Tribes, local governments, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
Each grant program has its own eligiblity requirements as well as program objectives.
Competitive Grant Programs African American Civil Rights Grants Grants to document, interpret, and preserve the sites and stories related to the African American struggle to gain equal rights Save America's Treasures Grants Funding for bricks and mortar work and/or conservation work on nationally significant artifacts and historic sites Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant A subgrant program to support the rehabilitation of historic properties in rural communities History of Equal Rights Grants Grants that aim to preserve sites related to the struggle of all people to achieve equal rights in America Semiquincentennial Grants Supporting resources related to the founding of the nation.
Grants to restore structures on Historically Black Colleges & Universities campuses considered to be the most historically significant Underrepresented Communities Grants Grants to increase the number of listings in the National Register of Historic Places associated with underrepresented communities Grants to assist Indian Tribes in protecting and promoting their unique cultural heritage and traditions Emergency Funding for the Historic Preservation Fund to assist communities with preservation and repair work at historic sites Other National Park Service Programs In addition to Historic Preservation Fund grants, the National Park Service also operates more than 50 grant and community assistance programs not managed by the State, Tribal, Local, Plans & Grants Division.
