The Catalyst Grant is a $1,500 microgrant offered by HuCapital in collaboration with the Desmond Fontaine Foundation. This funding initiative is designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs who are developing innovative, product-centric or community-driven businesses.

The grant serves as non-dilutive funding aimed at empowering dreamers, innovators, and forward-thinking leaders making meaningful impacts in their industries and communities. HuCapital’s mission focuses on inspiring and empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators.

The Catalyst Grant specifically supports founders who are launching products that solve real-world problems or businesses that cultivate authentic community engagement. The grant encourages ambitious individuals whose visions align with HuCapital’s broader goals of bridging knowledge and wealth gaps. The funding can be allocated toward key business functions such as product development, marketing, or operational expansion.

Importantly, businesses do not need to be legally registered entities to apply, acknowledging that early-stage support may be necessary for legal setup. To be eligible, applicants must be the founder or co-founder of a business that is either product-centric or community-centric. The opportunity is open to early-stage founders based in the United States.

Preference will be given to companies that exhibit a strong element of innovation, whether through solving significant problems, adopting new approaches, or enhancing current practices. Applications must be submitted by the extended deadline of Friday, May 16, 2025. The winner of the grant will be notified no later than Monday, June 30, 2025.
