Estuary Grant Applications Due August 7 $1 million in competitive grant funding is available through two Request for Applications (RFAs): Local Stewardship Planning and River Education.
This funding will help communities in the Hudson River estuary watershed improve climate resilience, advance stewardship of natural resources, and enhance environmental education. These grants are funded through the NYS Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) and administered by DEC’s Hudson River Estuary Program.
Eligible projects in the Local Stewardship Planning RFA include conservation and inventory projects, such as natural resources inventories (NRIs), conservation overlay zones, and connectivity plans. Approximately $700,000 is available in this RFA with a minimum award amount of $10,500 and maximum award amount of $75,000. The recipient must provide a match of at least 15%.
