It funds initiatives that aim to protect human rights, promote dialogue, and help implement international human rights commitments that the host country has endorsed. Funding decisions take into account the severity of the human rights situation, the alignment with the Netherlands’ human rights priorities, and the expected impact of the proposed activities.
The priority themes for Serbia and for Montenegro are: freedom of expression, equal rights for LGBTI and gender equality.
