NEH’s " A More Perfect Union" initiative supports the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in July 4, 2026 by funding projects that enhance our understanding of the country’s founding period.
Humanities Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence NEH's special initiative "Humanities Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence" supports projects that bring humanities insights into exploration of the challenges and opportunities AI presents for American civic and social life.
NEH’s international engagement with foreign governments, multilateral organizations, and other international partners fosters global understanding and collaboration in the humanities. By supporting cultural exchange and scholarly research, NEH helps to preserve and share the diverse heritage in the humanities, connecting American scholars, practitioners, and institutions with their counterparts around the world.
