At the HOPE Foundation and Hypertherm, we want our grant-making to closely align with our core values. One of our core values is Continuous Improvement.
A foundational way in which we continuously improve our processes is by setting quantifiable goals, measuring progress to our goals, reflecting on what went well/what could have gone better, and letting this guide our improvement efforts. Through our grant-making, we want to share and encourage the use of this practice that has helped us be successful as individuals and as an organization.
Our intention is not to judge our grant recipients based on whether they meet their goals. Instead, we believe that our funding will provide increased value to our communities if more people and organizations we fund practice setting goals and then measuring, reflecting, and improving.
