Founded in 1984 with the mission to promote excellence in accounting education and research on a worldwide basis and to facilitate the contribution of accounting academics to the development and maintenance of high quality, globally recognized standards of accounting practice. Call for Nominations: IAAER Executive Committee Positions IAAER invites nominations, including self-nominations, for nine Executive Committee positions, including President and Vice-President portfolios. The Executive Committee serves as the governing body of IAAER, with members elected for two-year terms. Nominations should include the position(s) sought and a brief statement of support.

Informing the IASB Standard Setting Process IAAER - KPMG Research Opportunities - Round 9 Grant Recipients Announced The International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER), in collaboration with KPMG International, is pleased to announce our Research Informing the IASB Decision Process Round 9 grant recipients. Five research grants of $20,000 (U.S.) each have been awarded.

Conferences and Calls for Papers The next Meditari Accountancy Research conference will take place September 3-4, 2026 and will be hosted by IAAER university member, the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. The conference will be in collaboration with IAAER. IAAER President, Katherine Schipper, VP Research, Holger Daske, and DREA, Donna Street will serve as panel members.
