We are thrilled to announce the revival of a tradition within the International Association of Physics Students – the Worldwide Grant. This initiative is designed to empower physics students from all corners of the globe to participate in the International Conference of Physics Students (ICPS) by offering financial support for their travel expenses.
Supported Students: Minimum of 10 Supported Amount per Student: 50% of their travel expenses, up to 300€ To ensure fairness and inclusivity, applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria : Active engagement in IAPS or IAPS TC/LC Motivation to attend ICPS2026 (evaluated through the Statement of Motivation).
Geographic diversity among the selected awardees (to avoid a disproportionate number of grants being awarded to applicants from the same country) Be a current IAPS Member. Not be a member of the current IAPS EC. Present a poster or an oral presentation at ICPS2026.
Not receive equivalent financial support for the same travel expenses from another grant or funding programme. Recipients of the ICPS 2026 Worldwide Grant are expected to: Attend the full ICPS2026 conference. Contribute to IAPS outreach activities during or after the conference (e.g. by writing an article, recording a testimonial, or creating other promotional content for IAPS).
The Worldwide Grant is reimbursed after ICPS2026. To receive the reimbursement, awardees must: Submit all required travel receipts and supporting documents. Complete the reimbursement form provided by the Executive Committee.
