Advanced and clean energy technology put people at the center of our energy future. Our funding ensures they are educated and ready to take part. Illinois’ century-old power grid has upgraded to a smart grid.
Our mission is to empower a community of organizations to make sure all Illinois residents are included in the benefits. Our grantee organizations educate community members on the new tools, programs, and behaviors that are needed in a smarter and cleaner energy landscape.
Our funding allows for deep, equitable and far-reaching literacy and engagement programs statewide, especially to those faced with greater energy burdens and energy insecurity.
Trusted, highly localized messengers educate residents on demand management Education catered to the needs of our most resilient populations: low-income and senior Demand Response & Behavior Change Inspiring behavior change and education in new ways Design-oriented and engaging methods to integrate technology tools and usage data Creative and compelling messaging and media strategies ISEIF is a unique model in the energy world.
We address the human and community sides of energy and the electric grid. Through the use of data and stories, we’re learning what it takes to get consumers energized about the smart grid.
