05 | Mott Foundation Illinois Statewide Afterschool Network Metropolitan Family Services April 1, 2016–September 30, 2017 Chicago, IL, United States This grant to Voices for Illinois Children will support the development of the Illinois Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs.
Over the course of this grant, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) hosting six regional meetings to expand statewide afterschool champions; 2) creating a map and directory of afterschool programs in Illinois; and 3) developing statewide quality standards on afterschool.
